Birds of a Feather

eat-1deckleSometimes you find these beautiful, lost feathers on the sidewalk or while out walking in the woods. I always bring them home with me. If only I could collect enough of them then I might just be able to fly one day.

American  artist Chris Maynard also has a thing for feathers, but he uses them to craft beautiful images. By employing tiny scissors and very sharp surgical tools he cuts delicate patterns of silhouetted birds out of them. Each bird with its distinctive feathers dictates a different shape, pattern and color, making every piece unique.
