Photographer Ori Gersht has created a new series that captures exploding mirrors. He photographs the mirror reflections of carefully arranged flowers inspired by the floral still lives of Jan Brueghel the Elder. Or more precisely, the surface of the mirror itself, causing the flowers themselves to become blurry. By then electrocuting the mirror interesting cracks and shapes appear while he photographs the explosion with an extremely high shutter speed.
